TEMPLE ISRAEL YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (TIYUL) for young adults in grades 8-12

All TIFTY 4th and 5th graders are invited to come chill in the youth lounge and assemble birthday gift bags for students at our partner school, Monroe Elementary in south St. Louis! This mitzvah opportunity makes a big difference for the Monroe students, spreading lots of birthday cheer. Plus, you will have the chance to hang out with friends and snack on some tasty treats!

Participants will engage in impactful learning through the lens of Reform responsa and enjoy lively discussions focused on the process of engagement with Jewish law, values, and practice.

Get ready for ringside seats to the best swing band in the Midwest – Sweetie & The Toothaches! Specializing in 1940s - 1960s R&B, blues and ballads, St. Louis’ premier swing band will have you stomping your feet, shaking your hips, and leave you with a permanent sweet tooth!

This Book Club is inspired by Lilith, one of the fiercest forgotten women of Jewish literature. Prior to each meeting, we’ll read a book by or about Jewish women, each taking place during a different time period, so we’ll learn a little history, enjoy some fantastic novels, and bring to light some forgotten figures of the Jewish past over a nosh and some great discussions.
