make your Synagogue Support commitment

You are an integral part of what makes us, “us,” and your synagogue support is an essential building block in the foundation of our future.

At Temple Israel, we have an important commitment to not turn anyone away for financial reasons. As you make your annual commitment to the community, remember that it is your generosity that allows us to continue this tradition year after year.

Synagogue Support Levels

Temple Israel belongs to you.

Many Temple Israel members have been here for generations and others are just beginning to explore their path, but there's one thing that connects us all: Our commitment to this community.

Our dues levels represent tiers of annual giving - and we value all our members, regardless of which level they give. Our current system, approved by the Board in 2023, assess a 3% increase by individual account each year for those giving at the Standard level or below. With each year's increase, you're one step closer to the prestigious Shofar Society!

We extend our sincere gratitute to our Rabbis' Circle and Shofar Soceity members for their generosity. Their generous gifts represent 46% of our annual revenue from synagogue support, helping us bridge the gap between dues income and operating expenses and enabling us to welcome all who seek to join our congregation, regardless of their financial means. If you would like to join the Rabbis' Circle or Shofar Society, please reach out to our Executive Director, Martina Stern.

Looking for other opportunities to invest in our community? There are many ways to give. Shofar Society members commit to an annual synagogue support level that helps fund the membership of those unable to pay standard dues. The Heritage Society allows members to plan ahead for a legacy gift. The Wish List lets donors choose to fund needs that are important to them.
