JEWISH EDUCATION FOR ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS

Learning is such an integral part of who we are; in fact, it's one of our core beliefs!

We believe that Jewish education should begin with our youngest children and that lifelong Jewish learning encourages us to live examined lives and wrestle with life's challenges. And, at Temple Israel, exploring difficult questions at any age is so important to us, we've created a little something for everyone. Regardless of your prior Jewish knowledge or stage of life, we invite you to learn with us!

PRESCHOOL

Temple Israel's Deutsch Early Childhood Center (DECC) builds relationships that foster each child’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth in a safe and nurturing Jewish community and offers a variety of programs for children ages 6 weeks (infancy) through Pre-Kindergarten (age 6).

CAMP SHOOK

Temple Israel's Rabbi Mark & Carol Shook Preschool Camp is for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. We can’t wait to share a fun, wonderful summer with your children at Camp Shook.

 Join the summer fun here!

RELIGIOUS & HEBREW SCHOOL

Temple Israel's Religious & Hebrew School (TIRS) is a vibrant, engaging program tailored to suit the needs of our families and our students in grades Kindergarten through 12. We are proud to provide a strong Jewish educational foundation for all who attend.

(TIRS includes Religious School, Hebrew School, Shemesh, our Youth Group (TIFTY), our TIYuL Program, B'nai Mitzvah, Confirmation, and Madrachim.)

B'NAI MITZVAH

Becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a milestone on the road of a child’s or adult's spiritual, intellectual, and emotional Jewish journey. It is truly the beginning of each person's ability to think more deeply about God, Torah, and their role in making the world a better place.

If you or your child are interested in becoming a B'nai Mitzvah, learn more here.

YOUTH GROUP

Temple Israel's Federation of Temple Youth (TIFTY) is the official name for TI's Youth Group. This program creates young leaders through active engagement in congregational life and dynamic programs that develop lifelong friendships and a love for Judaism. And, hosts lots of really fun activities, too!

Learn more and check out upcoming TIFTY events here.
