Sukkot is a time of joy and celebration when we are asked to leave the comfort of our homes for structures that are imperfect and fragile, and as a result to feel grateful for the protection that keeps us safe. Join us for a short Sukkot Shabbat service led by Rabbi Shook in celebration of the Creve Coeur Police Department’s “Faith and the Blue” weekend, where we’ll hear from Lieutenant McIntosh of the Creve Coeur Police Department about how our officers work to keep our community safe.
After services, we’ll take a walk to our outdoor sukkah (fragile, temporary structure) for a special dessert Oneg and chance to shake the Lulav and Etrog, a Jewish tradition on this holiday.
We’re proud to have some of the Creve Coeur Police Department families join us for this special Shabbat evening.
