Israeli Voices: A Written Response to October 7
In the wake of October 7, written word has become a means to remember, honor those affected, and to begin to heal. Join Rabbi Michael to read and reflect on a few powerful Israeli writings and poetry composed since this tragic event. Through these poignant voices, we will gain insight into how Israelis are coping with the unimaginable loss and honor these stories as we navigate our own grief.
Most appropriate for adults and youth ages 14+.
Friday, September 20 | following 6:30 pm Shabbat services
During this program, Rabbi Michael will share poems from the new book Shiva: Poems of October 7 compiled by his friend and fellow educator Rachel Korazim who serves as a consultant at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. Proceeds from this book support the Israel Trauma Coalition, a nonprofit currently working to provide resources to displaced families in Israel.
We're here to help.
