Voting Rights Shabbat Services
Friday, January 12, 2024 • 2 Sh'vat 5784
6:30 PM - 7:30 PMGall Family SanctuaryThe Jewish people are no strangers to the struggles of racial hatred and have played an active role in promoting equality during the civil rights movement and its fight for equal access to vote. As state legislatures pass new, restrictive voting laws, we're once again called to help protect this precious right. We hope you'll join us for a Shabbat sermon on the importance of voting access followed by a mitzvah opportunity to thank local election officials — the backbone of our democracy — through personalized postcards which will be available to fill out or take home.
“You do not need to finish the work, but neither are you free to desist from it.”
