Repairing the world, one tube of toothpaste at a time...
For the past 22 years, Temple Israel has been collecting and donating personal care items to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry throughout the High Holy Days season.
Help us to provide thousands of local St. Louis individuals and families with the personal care items they need to get through this time of uncertainty.
Thank you to our outgoing chair, Nancy Solomon! Nancy has done incredible work leading this effort for many years, serving thousands of residents in need.
A warm welcome to our incoming co-chairs, Lisa & Steve Darrish and Michael Bloom! Thank you for picking up the torch (or in this case, the tube of toothpaste) and continuing this special TI tradition!
Get Involved!
Make a difference in your own way. Let us know how you will lend a hand to our Personal Care Drive this year.

Donate Items:
Drop off personal care items in the blue bins labeled "Food Pantry" near the May Chapel entrance or bring your donations with you to any of our
High Holy Days services
.
Some of the most needed items are:
antibacterial wipes | body wash | bar soap | shampoo | conditioner | toilet paper | paper towels | laundry detergent | dish soap | hand sanitizer | hand soap | diapers | feminine protection | toothpaste | dental floss | toothbrushes | deodorant | lotion | tissues
Monetary Contributions:
Using the form below, make a monetary contribution to the Personal Care Item Drive.
With your donation, TI will buy gift cards to donate to the Food Pantry through our
RaiseRight
program (formerly known as Scrip) - so your purchase will not only benefit the Food Pantry, but Temple Israel will also receive a % of your contribution back from the gift card vendors.
If you prefer to pay by check, please send to:
Congregation Temple Israel, PO Box 790379, St. Louis, MO 63179-0379
All monetary contributions are fully tax-deductible.
Fill your cart! These suggested amounts represent a year's supply of a personal care item for one person.

Commit:
The need for personal care items doesn't end with the High Holy Days season, and your commitment to repairing the world doesn't have to either. Make a personal commitment to continue the work using one of our suggestions, or one of your own.
How will you commit to continue making a difference?
Educate yourself on the cycle of poverty - Religious Action Center is a great resource
Commit to monthly donations using the blue bins in our May Chapel entrance
Advocate for systemic change - JCRC provides great guidance
Reframe your view of those struggling with poverty
Make changes in your own life, like paying the workers you employ a sustainable wage and researching companies you support
Or, make your own commitment! How will you continue to make a lasting difference?
