Lilith Readers Book Club
with Rabbi Amy

In honor of the spirit of Lilith, one of Judaism’s lesser known – but by no means lesser than – female figures, the Lilith Readers Book Club is a space for all who are interested in reading feel-good books that explore the relationships, love stories, and adventures that make up the Jewish experience. By reading novels written by Jewish women and about them, we celebrate the tradition of strong women’s voices in literature, all while enjoying a good nosh, some good wine, and the good company of friends. Join us!

Thursday, April 3 | 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm | Congregation Temple Israel | free for TI members; $18 for non-members (registration is required to attend!)
Light refreshments provided. Feel free to BYO wine or other treats to share.

The Book of V.: A Novel by Anna Solomon
In Anna Solomon's The Book of V., the lives of three women across three centuries intertwine, exploring themes of sex, power, and desire as their stories converge in the present. From a modern mother in Brooklyn to a political wife in Watergate-era D.C. and an independent woman in ancient Persia, the novel illuminates the enduring challenges women face throughout history.
