with Rabbi Amy
This Book Club is inspired by Lilith, one of the fiercest forgotten women of Jewish literature. Prior to each meeting, we’ll read a book by or about Jewish women, each taking place during a different time period, so we’ll learn a little history, enjoy some fantastic novels, and bring to light some forgotten figures of the Jewish past over a nosh and some great discussions.
Thursday, August 8 | 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm | Congregation Temple Israel | free for TI members; $18 for non-members (registration is required to attend!)
Light refreshments provided. Feel free to BYO wine or other treats to share.
Our August book is Until Next Summer by Ali Brady.
"Until Next Summer is a heartfelt and hilarious frolic through a nostalgic landscape of color wars, first kisses, and toilet-paper porch decor — with a cocktail in hand. Whether you’re a “camp person” or not, I defy you to read Ali Brady’s latest without glowing from the inside at this tender and hopeful exploration of friendship, romance, and the magic that only a very special place in the woods can hold." —Shelby Van Pelt, New York Times
