7:00 PM - 8:30 PMZoomHow we got here: Making sense of the war in Gaza
A class with Evan Weiss, Middle East expert and TI member
Why is Hamas bent on the destruction of Israel? Why do they have support among the Palestinian population? How is Gaza different from the West Bank? Why isn't Egypt a bigger part of the solution to this problem? The answers to such questions lie in the historical, political, and sociological factors at play and cannot be understood without attempting to get into the minds of those who live in the region. Join Evan Weiss – a TI member who has lived, studied, worked, and engaged broadly with people across the region – to gain a historical perspective on the region.
Wednesday, November 8 | 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm | via Zoom
The Zoom link will be emailed to those who RSVP prior to the program.
RSVP required by November 8 at noon.
