Donate or volunteer!
Located in South St. Louis, Monroe Elementary has 200+ students ranging from ages 3-12; all of whom are living in poverty, and nearly half of whom experience housing insecurity. To ensure that each child has a holiday gift this season, we’re creating a Gift Store at Monroe so parents or caregivers can select an item and have it beautifully wrapped by volunteers. It’s a Hanukah mitzvah!
DONATE:
Drop off new, store-bought gifts in the collection bin located near the May Chapel entrance. Toys are for students in preschool through 5th grade. All gifts should be in their original packaging and in the $20 range. Needed items include remote control cars, transformers and robots, sports balls, large dolls of color, arts and crafts kits for older kids (bracelet making and nail kits), and anything in a big box so it is more exciting.
If you’d prefer to donate any amount (in increments of $20) so our committee can purchase needed toys, we’d greatly appreciate your support! Simply scroll down to donate below! Donation Drive begins November 1 and ends December 8.
