TEXT: Costume Jewelry Drive for Monroe Elementary IMAGE: Bracelets displayedYou can do a Monroe mitzvah by organizing your jewelry box and donating those items that you don't wear anymore!

Temple Israel is collecting like-new costume jewelry for a volunteer-led jewelry store at Monroe Elementary, a school located in South St. Louis serving kids in preschool through grade 5. This will be a twist on our winter Holiday Store as students will be the shoppers, finding that perfect gift for their mother or female caregiver. Students are currently earning “Monroe bucks” for literacy-based initiatives and will use them to shop the Store. This amazing project gives students the opportunity to see themselves as “givers,” and your donations get a new loving home with someone who deserves a little something special, too.

Bring your like-new costume jewelry (bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and jewelry sets) to Temple Israel’s front office during business hours or drop off in TI's May Chapel front vestibule collection box through Wednesday, May 10.
