On Shavuot we celebrate the receiving of the 10 Commandments, but Shavuot is much more than “just” the biblical Top Ten. The Book of Ruth helps us connect the idea of choosing Judaism for ourselves, both as individuals and as a people, as we continue to find our place in Jewish history.
