A shinshin is an 18-year-old Israeli emissary who defers army service for a year to volunteer in Jewish communities abroad and to educate about Israel and Israeli culture. And Temple Israel is lucky enough to have a shinshin again this year! Join us to hear a D’var Israel (a sermon based on the Torah portion) from Guy Dobrin, our TI shinshin, who will share more about his life in Israel and journey to St. Louis to serve our community.
