Nov1

Member of TI for 28 years, Trustee (former Treasurer and Investment Committee Chair), CPA, wife, mother, and grandparent

Why is serving on the Board of Trustees a part of your Jewish journey? “I want to support our Temple with worthwhile services and get to know my fellow members. 2021 is my final year as a Temple Israel board member after over 15 years of leadership roles so it will be a bit bitter-sweet. I will be thinking about my new role into 2022 on how I can make a difference at our Temple.”

Which TI core belief do you resonate with the most and why? “Learning and Community. Learning because it is important to know what and why we participate in Jewish traditions, and Community because I want to have a valued role and personal relationship with our congregation.”

Do you have a favorite quote or mantra about leadership or life that you’d like to share? “Do your best and forget the rest.”

What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of TI? “Cooking, traveling, movies, hiking, mahjong, and helping people.”

If you weren’t currently working as a CPA, what would be your ideal job? “I think this is my ideal job – helping people that are appreciative of my service.”

Have a favorite place you like to travel? “Israel, because it has so much history and plenty of entertainment. Plus, I want to learn to speak Hebrew fluently.”

Fave cuisine? “No brainer – Asian food. Especially Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese. But for those that know me, NO CILANTRO! YUCK!”

Jewish holiday? “Hanukah.” Music? “60s or Broadway probably.”
