Millions of American women and men
have served in the military over time
Names like Kowalski, Levy, O’Grady, Smith
Kraus, Romano, Hasan, and Begay
AMERICAN VETERANS ALL

Some were drafted some volunteered
All were trained to fight for us
Some shipped out to a war zone
Some performed tasks on bases
within the United States of America
AMERICAN VETERANS ALL

Some were wounded in battle
Some fell victim to enemy fire
never ever again to see the sun rise
Some survived bloody battles
and returned to walk among us
AMERICAN VETERANS ALL

They served in the Army
In the Navy in the Marine Corps
In the Air Force   in the Coast Guard
Trained ready and willing to devote
and dedicate their time and lives
to defend and secure our country
and all its inhabitants
AMERICAN VETERANS ALL

Men and women from urban
and rural America and
regardless of their ethnicity
or the color of their skin or
the slant of their eyes
have come together to form
the core of the veterans
we salute admire and respect
In times of war or peace
they were there for us
They need to know we
will always be here for
ALL AMERICAN VETERANS
