Sarah has been a member of TI for 15 years. She is the daughter of Andrew & Faye Reiter, wife of Ron Falkoff, and mom to Noah (TIRS) and Sonia (DECC).
TI Core Belief that most resonates with Sarah: “Learning, because that is how I met my friends at TI, that is what I do for a living, and I truly am a lifelong learner.”
What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of TI? “I love International Folk Dancing. I teach as well as perform. I am also a one-stop-shop salon! I also love doing hair and nails, giving haircuts and highlights, and all kinds of assorted styles. I also enjoy doing gel and dip nails. I learned all of this during COVID.”
What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why? "To the Kotel in Israel! It is so holy. There is a feeling that takes over you -- it is indescribable!
Favorite Jewish holidays? Rosh Hashanah and Pesach (just the Seder though).
Have any pets? "Two cats: Phoebe and Jinx."
“I joined Temple Israel with my family when I was in third grade, and I really enjoyed Religious School, unlike most. I loved finding out more about my religion and Judaism, and I learned a lot about myself and how I enjoyed expressing my Judaism. I loved Jewish summer camp, TI’s Youth Group, and becoming a Bat Mitzvah, and all the friendships I made during that journey. I still have friends from Religious School that I keep in touch with.
“TI was always a very positive place for me and gave me ‘good vibes’. Now that I am a mother, I am happy to be able to share my love of Judaism with my own children. My kids went to Deutsch Early Childhood Center – it was important to me that they go to a Jewish preschool so that they can start learning about Judaism from an early age. My oldest now attends TI’s Religious and Hebrew School, and he loves it! He devours Jewish learning and is always excited to engage more. He reminds me of myself at his age.”
