Due to the construction on the Education Building, Camp Shook is being held at Villa Duchesne, and the facility is amazing; complete with a pool so our campers have not missed a beat! The theme of our camp this year has been Lights, Camera, Action and all eight weeks of camp have a very special activity that relates back to that theme.

Week 1- Going to the Movies
Week 2 - Ratatouille (the campers were immersed in noodles)
Week 3 - A Bug’s Life (we had Miss Susie teach “bug science”)
Week 4 - Muppet’s (HiNRG Gymnastics came to Camp Shook for the day) 
Week 5 - Camp Shook’s Big  4^th of July Celebration
Week 6 - Lion King (we an incredible Petting Zoo at Camp Shook)
Week 7 - The Lego Movie (the campers will be immersed in Legos)
Week 8 - Up (we have Bounce House coming to Camp)
Week 9 - Toy Story (it will be a celebration of our incredible summer!)

The campers have also really loved music with Miss Megan and the camp cheers. Be looking for our infamous Camp Shook CD to be out soon! I also would love to recognize that Camp Director, Jill Epstein, has done a tremendous job running camp this summer. Her love and devotion to all things Camp Shook has really shone through with everything we have been able to accomplish this year. And although we have had a tremendous summer at Villa, it will be great to be back at Temple Israel for Preschool next month!
