Welcome to the beginning of the B'nai Mitzvah Experience at Temple Israel!
My goal, and the goal of the entire Temple Israel staff, is to help make this a meaningful and personal Jewish journey for your entire family. I firmly believe that becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a life-changing opportunity in which a child can think deeply, grow, and shine in ways he or she may never have imagined. Each child connects to Judaism differently, and my job as the rabbi is to help foster that connection so that it lasts a lifetime.
We have phenomenal 6th and 7th grade Religious School classes that ensure that, by the time your child begins meeting with me to prepare for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah, we already have a relationship that can be further built upon in our sessions together. It is truly an honor to help your family through this pivotal point in your lives.
And, this program isn’t just for teens. If you did not have a chance to celebrate becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah as a child, consider an adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
This is just the beginning of a wonderful journey ahead, and I look forward to sharing it with you!
