Temple Israel Religious School

Shemesh - the Hebrew word for sun - is a bright new Religious School experience for students with special needs and their families. Families will get to know one another, create a friendly community of families who navigate similar obstacles, and celebrate the many joys of raising children with physical or intellectual disabilities.

On the last day of Religious School, we invite you to tefillah, a ceremony to honor our amazing teachers for their years of service, and an all-school picnic at our pavilion.

Confirmation Service Preparation

School will be closed for our final Parent-Teacher Conferences of the year! Childcare will be available in the muscle room during your conference time. We can't wait to share all of the highlights and growth we've experienced with your kiddos this year!

Drop off baked goods for the Monroe Elementary faculty.

Participants will engage in impactful learning through the lens of Reform responsa and enjoy lively discussions focused on the process of engagement with Jewish law, values, and practice.

Shemesh families and friends are invited to join us in the May Chapel for a special culminating Shabbat celebration! Shemesh student Austyn Buckingham will also have his Bar Mitzvah! All guests are invited to enjoy the Pre-Oneg at 6:00 pm and stay for our Holidays of Israel Shabbat services to follow.

This past year, we’ve been more connected to the idea of supporting Israel than ever before. Join us at services for a special Israel Shabbat to remember the six million Jews and others who perished during the Holocaust; to honor Yom Hazikaron, Israel's Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism; and to celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel's Independence Day.

Following worship services, Shofar Society members are invited to join Rabbi Amy & Rabbi Michael for a delicious Shabbat dinner and discussion with restaurateur Ben Poremba.
